Springleaf Financial, a leading consumer-finance company that provides loans to customers through a nationwide branch network and via the Internet, is now offering customers free online access to VantageScore credit scores.
Springleaf, which operates one of the largest consumer-finance branch networks in the United States, serving customers through nearly 830 branches in 26 states, will offer VantageScore scores based on data from Experian.
“To promote financial literacy and credit education, we offer a number of online resources, including videos, financial management tips and loan payment calculators,” said Dave Hogan, Springleaf’s executive vice president of marketing and analytics. “With the addition of VantageScore, our customers will now have another way to assess and manage their finances.”
Springleaf customers will have access to VantageScore credit scores that are updated quarterly. In addition, customers will have the option to view graphs of how their scores have trended over time.
“We are very pleased that Springleaf is expanding the availability of free VantageScore credit scores,” said Barrett Burns, president and CEO of VantageScore Solutions, LLC. “Monitoring their VantageScore credit scores and accessing additional educational resources from VantageScore Solutions will help Springleaf customers better understand the connections between credit behaviors and their credit scores.”
