Dear Colleague,
It’s the time of year for traditions, and this year we at VantageScore Solutions are taking particular satisfaction in one of our favorites: using the December edition of The Score to recap highlights of the previous 11 months.
Reflecting on 2013 is indeed a pleasure — and not merely because we’ve been too busy all year to take time for looking back. What was truly a banner year got off to a busy start as we launched the VantageScore 3.0 model to much acclaim, while simultaneously introducing two new websites. The additional unveiling of our new logo and branding initiatives support the new post-recession model that combines more granular data with proven analytic science to produce vastly more predictive performance.
The VantageScore model and the VantageScore brand have enjoyed tremendous momentum this year, as you’ll see through the articles that follow. The articles are a nice reflection of what we think is important. By addressing the needs of both lenders and consumers, we will continue to grow our market footprint next year and beyond.
First, we’ve revisited the launch of VantageScore 3.0, which was the flagship accomplishment in 2013, along with the related webinar presented back in May by Sarah Davies, senior vice president at VantageScore Solutions for analytics, product management and research, and Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody’s Analytics.
On the consumer front, you’ll find a recap of our annual survey of consumer knowledge of credit scores done in partnership with Consumer Federation of America, an influential association of 300 nonprofit consumer organizations that is one of the largest and most influential groups in the country working to advance consumer interests.
Several of our favorite “Did You Know” articles from 2013 are also reprised, along with a link to the entire “Did You Know” archive.
Finally, we took five particularly poignant questions and answers from our “Five Questions With” column and presented them in a “best of the best” format. Please enjoy.
Happy holidays,
Barrett Burns
