Free webinar explores new developments in credit scoring
VantageScore SVP Sarah Davies was recently invited by the Consumer Bankers Association (CBA) to deliver a webinar to its members, updating them on industry trends. The session, “Latest Developments in Credit Scoring,” is now available for on-demand viewing.
The webinar touched on:
contrast in predictive power between scoring models that use
traditional credit-file data and those based on “new data” such as
social media behavior and preference data.
techniques used by the VantageScore 3.0 model to enable scoring of more
than 30 million consumer who are not scoreable using traditional credit
- A comparison of loan-default behavior
of the “newly scoreable” consumers identified using the VantageScore 3.0
model to that of the traditionally scoreable population. (Spoiler
alert: There is virtually no difference.)
- A demographic and behavioral profile of the newly scoreable population.
- Highlights of VantageScore research into the credit-score impact (or lack thereof) of suppressing controversial credit-file data, such as sold-derogatory trades and collections related to medical debt.
